FAQ

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

All dogs who come to visit us for daycare must be kept up to date with annual vaccinations including kennel cough. For walks and home visits, vaccinations are not required, but we do ask that dogs are fit, well, and free from contagious illness.

What happens if my dog gets ill in your care?

All our team are first aid qualified so you can rest assured that your dog is in the best care. We have a sick pup policy where parents are informed of any illnesses & if necessary we will also take your dog to the vet.

Can I visit the centres for a look around?

Unfortunately not. It is our utmost priority to ensure the dogs in our care feel happy and safe. The dogs are often startled and can become upset by strangers. However, we know how important it is to see where your pup is spending their days so we offer video tours. Please feel free to get in touch to arrange.

How old does my dog need to be to attend daycare/group walks?

As soon as your pup is fully vaccinated (including kennel cough) and ready to socialise, their daycare journey can begin.

For group walks, we welcome dogs from 6 months of age. Walks are designed to be enriching and engaging at this age, rather than focused on covering distance, in order to protect young dogs’ growing bones.

What time can I expect my dog to be picked up/dropped off?

Due to our routes changing each day we are unable to give specific times. Our Happy Pup Buses are out on the road between 7.15am & 9.45am and 4pm & 6.15pm. Our group walk adventures are typically between 9.30am-3pm. You can choose between our morning or afternoon group adventure.

What does a typical day at daycare look like?

When your dog arrives they are greeted by a friendly member of staff to be checked in. After their things are hung on their peg & they have their Sals Pals ID tag on they are taken to a group best suited to them. During the morning your dog will enjoy monitored free play with their pals before tucking into lunch & having some downtime. In the afternoon we offer a variety of enrichment activities including puzzle games, shredding & (amateur) agility! Nearing the end of the day we wind down ready for going home & any mucky pups enjoy a warm shower.
